Irmos

IRMOS choir specialise in Ukrainian Orthodox choral singing. Deeply spiritual in nature, the repertoire of this liturgical choir transcends barriers with its beauty and reverence. Just ask the families that flock to the Christmas light display in Adelaide’s inner east where IRMOS have a standing invitation to carol for the crowds. A festive expression of ancient Ukrainian culture, caroling is an opportunity that IRMOS joyfully celebrate to wish the wider community prosperity, health and good fortune.

IRMOS support a broad range of community events, singing at religious services and concerts in Adelaide, Coober Pedy and Melbourne. They actively support Ukraine with their annual charitable concert, ‘Interlude With Irmos’ with funds raised sent to support Sumna Kvitka orphanage in the Lviv oblast.
